Fairy Tail Old_by_lanwu-d38mnhgx
Kali
It had been a while since an interesting job had turned up, and the boredom Kali was so familiar with slowly started to seep into her bones. She was seated at one of the tables in the cantine, her scythe laid out on the table. It was almost entirely made out of bone, except for where it ended in a curved metal blade.
It had never broken, she hadn't even seen it damaged, which made her believe it was protected with magic itself.
Her fingers traced the bone, which was polished smooth by time. It didn't really get dirty either, she thought as she flicked of some dirt from the sculpted skull on top of the weapon.
She was sitting alone at a table in the cantine of Fairy Tail. She had worn the tattoo on her collarbone for a while now, long enough for everyone to know that when she was examining her scythe, she was best left alone.
Boredom didn't do anything good for her manners, and she could feel the familiar annoyance about not being able to do anything bubbling under the surface of her skin.
It helped that everyone here knew she preferred being alone when she was bored.
In her past, before she had joined a guild and had travelled through the big cities without any real purpose in mind, a lot of people had maked the mistake of judging her by her looks. With her long blonde hair, her fragile body and the girly dresses she liked to wear, strangers mostly thought of her as a sweet, innocent girl, while in fact she was anything but.
Not that she had ever found it hard to get the wrong idea out of people's minds. Most of the time, one look in their eyes was enough to make sure she didn't need any help or protection.
Some people were almost able to kill with their eyes, and Kali made sure long ago that she had mastered that same art.
In one swift motion, she tied her hair together in a ponytail with an elastic band that had been on her wrist before. She hadn't looked at the board filled with jobs and requests today yet, out of fear there still wouldn't be anything to catch her interest. Now, however, she had delayed it for long enough.
Better just get it over with, she thought as she picked up her scythe and walked towards the board.

Felix & Noah
Felix and Noah had always been somewhat of an odd couple. Felix was over six feet tall, while Noah's height was considered below average to begin with. Felix' hair was a dark chocolate brown, Noah's was a startingly white colour. Add to that the contrast of their personalities, and it was no wonder they had a lot of eyes on them whenever they walked the streets.
Of course, they would've gotten attention here anyway. The shape of their faces and the lilt in their voices made it clear they weren't from here.
In fact, if anyone would ask, they'd find out they didn't even come from Fiore.
'So- do we just walk in?'
Felix had his hands resting on his hips, right next to where a gun was strapped through his belt. He threw his head in his neck to look at the wooden sign. *Fairy Tail*, it said.
Noah scrunched up his face and gave the large gates a dubious look. 'I'm not sure,' he admitted. Just like his companion, there was a weapon belt hanging low on his hips, and an additional sword strapped to his back.
It was clear from the state of their clothes they had travelled for quite a few weeks. They bore the distinctive look of two people who hadn't slept properly in a long time.
'Maybe there's a bell hidden somewhere. Or maybe we're supposed to knock,' Felix thought out loud, but Noah immediately waved away the idea. 'Do you really think, after all we've heard about Fairy Tail, that they would even pay attention to a bell?' He asked skeptically.
'Well, you think of what to do then,' Felix answered, sounding a little annoyed. 'Don't forget I'm the one wearing your luggage because, and I quote, "you're shoulders got sore",' he pointed out.
'Fine. We'll walk in then,' Noah decided, and before Felix could say something else, he pushed open one of the heavy gates.

Farrah

The music thundered inside her head. The words of the lyrics were right there and she sang them softly. Farrah was alone, on her way back to magnolia where her guild was established. The forest around the city of magnolia where quiet. Not all the time but often enough. She always went there to calm down after a hard job or anything that made her angry.
Music and nature were the only two things that could make her seemingly happy... ish.
A loud base came out of the headphone and she closed her eyes for a moment, stopping her walk for a minute to enjoy the sound. Don’t worry Farrah, she thought to herself, you rounded it all up brilliantly and you can pay your rent for the coming year. That thought made her feel warm inside and she opened her eyes again, something strange was in those eyes but nobody, not even Farrah herself, knew what it was or why. She continued her walk again, murmuring the song that was booming through her headphone. “Hikari zenbu atsumete..”
Suddenly there was this sound coming up behind her and immediately the music stopped in her ear. it was just like that, she music simply came out of her being and it was like she had this background music with her all of her life. Now that there was danger the music stopped so she could focus. Her mind always gave of these pulses so she could detect the unknown assailant.
Found him, she thought, turning around as quick as sound itself. When she opened her mouth there was this high pitch scream that came out, that could pears through somebody’s ears. When she closed her mouth again there was a wail coming from the bushes in front of her. She pushed away the few branches and there was the stranger. The woman looked at the logo on his arm and stepped back involuntarily. He was from a dark guild, she had to get away from here. So without thinking twice she turned back around and started to run for her life, no music in her mind this time, just a building feeling of panic from inside her heart.

Once at the Magnolia citygates she halted and looked back. Good, seemed like nobody had followed her. A bright smile came upon her face once again as she walked into the city, again with music filling her head with sound.
Nobody could easily see the logo of her guild. It was hidden on her back, underneath her tshirt just between her shoulder blades. It was not like she was ashamed of her guild. It was just that she liked the spot. She made way towards her guild’s hall. it was a massive hall, just towering up in front of her. Home, she thought.

She opened the door, she simply loved to make a grand entrance, “Hello Fairy Tail!” she shouted, grinning widely. She hadn’t been around for about a month or two and she had missed her home very much.
So there she was, standing in the door looking a bit ragged in torn clothes. Her headphone on, her long browngolden hair in quite a mess and her backpack where it belonged... on her back.
Some things just seemed not right. The master was talking to two outsiders and it was just to quiet around here. Natsu, Erza and the rest of them were probably on another job, Farrah figured. Her eyes fell on Kali who was sitting there all alone, looking at her blade. Even though Farrah knew that it would be best to leave the girly looking girl alone she pushed through the masses of people and simply sat across her at the table. “Hi there Kali. Long time no see. How has the world been treating you?” Farrah asked. She would talk to the master about what happened in the woods when he was done talking to the two men.

Kali
She was still seated on what she thought of as her bench - she rarely sat anywhere else - when two strangers walked in. The tall one - because he was tall - looked around as if he were a kid in a sweets shop, while the shorter one just walked straight towards the bar, where Mary-Jane was doing... something. Kali wasn't sure exactly what she was always doing behind the counter. She could hear the tall one ask about the master, and she looked away again. Pity.
She had hoped they were here to put up a new job, something interesting for Kali to do, though she should have known after noticing the weapons they carried with them. She wondered if they were both mages with some kind of guns magic.
Whatever their capabilities were, it was clear they were here to sign up. Kali was trying to decide if she would have to play nice and welcoming or not, when the doors opened a second time.
"Hello, Fairy Tail!"
Though she was good at hiding it, she felt a pang of surprise when it was Farrah who entered. Kali hadn't seen her for over a month, since she had taken one of the last interesting jobs. Not sure if she wanted to talk or not - it wasn't that she didn't like Farrah, they got on fairly well in fact, but she just treasured her silence - she turned back to her scythe.
It seemed, however, the decision was made for her, as not a few moments later Farrah sat down opposite her. "Hi there, Kali," she said, and Kali gave her a quick smile in return. "Long time no see. How has the world been treating you?" She asked. In reply Kali let out a low grunt, which summarised the past two months pretty good. "It's been boring me out of my mind. The only jobs turning up right now are people crying about their lost pets and that kind of stuff,"  she told Farrah. "Just please tell me you've returned with something interesting to tell me," she added after a few short moments, deciding that Farrah was better company than just her boredom after all.

Felix & Noah
Felix felt like a giant. Not just a little taller than most. A giant.
Because - and he had heard stories, of course, but reality was always more confronting than rumours - this man was tiny. Even Noah seemed like the human version of a skyscraper in comparison. Though, he wouldn't say that out loud of course. Noah could be a little... sensitive when it came to the subject of his height.
"You'll just need to tell where you want the mark placed, and then you're free to go on as Fairy Tail members," the master said. He had introduced himself as Makarov, though Felix was sure Noah had already forgotten that name again. He was great when it came to naming weapons, places, vehicles- but apparently remembering the names of actual persons went above his head.
Just as he was thinking this, he noticed his friend was looking at him.
"You should get it somewhere where you can hide it easily," he said. "You know, just in case," he added when he saw the weird look the master gave him.
It wasn't as if Noah was ashamed of it, it was just that he had learned long ago that it was best not to wear too much on your sleeve. Everything people were able to read off of you could be used against you, after all. Felix nodded, understanding him, and stripped off his right glove. Since he wore it most of the time - mostly out of vain, to cover the scar that adorned the back of his hand - the mark wouldn't be visible unless he chose to.
Felix simply lifted up his shirt a little, deciding to get the mark just above his right hipbone.

"Welcome to Fairy Tail," the master grinned after he had placed the two marks. "I see Farrah has just returned. She and Kali can show you around a bit, just tell them I sent you two," he spoke, waving to a table in the corner of the cantine. "You mean- the two scary girls huddled in the shadows?" Felix asked with his eyebrows raised, which earned him a punch to the side from Noah. "He means thanks," he said, giving the master a smile that seemed very out of place on his face. "They're not that scary," he told Felix when they walked towards the table. When he came closer, he threw them a better look. "Well- at least we've seen scarier," he corrected his own words. He could hear Felix snickering next to him, probably glad Noah had admitted he was right after all, before he took the last few steps to the table.
Just like every other time he met new people, he put a huge grin on his face and landed the palms of his hands on the table surface with a soft thump. "Hello ladies," he said, showing them both his smile. "Me and Noah have just joined your little club, and Mak- ouch, jesus." He threw Noah a hurt look when he got punched a second time. "He doesn't mean to sound so demeaning. He means guild. We've joined your guild," he corrected his friend. "Mako- mak- the master said you would show us around."

Farrah

Kali let out a grunt as an answer and Farrah chuckled softly. This was the Kali she knew so well, mostly bored, girly looking but scary as hell when the time was right. “O come on it couldn’t have been that boring while I was gone... Could it?” she asked. But apparently it had been very boring, or at least Kali told her so.
" The only jobs turning up right now are people crying about their lost pets and that kind of stuff," she was told. It brought a grin to her face and she shook her head. “The pain you must have been feeling all these weeks. How can you live with it?” she said, sounding a little sarcastic and a bit overdramatic.
"Just please tell me you've returned with something interesting to tell me," Kali said, as always when Farrah herself had taken a good job and Kali was left with nothing but shit but hey, things needed to be kept interesting, right?
“It was amazing!”Farrah started enthusiastically and just as she wanted to tell Kali about her journey to the wilder lands abroad the two stranger came heading for their table. A frown appeared on the young woman’s face when she saw them. they didn’t really look like they belonged here. But the music didn’t stop so it at to be safe... at least for now. “Here we go..” Farrah moaned, sounding very unhappy because well... she was because she couldn’t finish her story.

The two guy’s appeared in front of them and while she tried to ignore them she found out that she couldn’t. The two of them seemed to be the complete opposite of each other, in appearance and character, as would appear when one of them opened his mouth.
"Hello ladies," the tallest one of the two said, smiling at them. Farrah locked eyes with Kali and did that thing she did with her eyes when she was annoyed. The music in her mind stopped there because she wasn’t in the mood for it now, at least not anymore. he said, showing them both his smile. Apart from that she didn’t even answer the man.
"Me and Noah have just joined your little club, and Mak- ouch, jesus." The tallest of the two of them said. Because he was just punched by his friend, which caused a slim smile to appear around Farrah lips. Maybe this could be fun. But still, they had ruined her story time and she was feeling sticky and ieuwie. Because of what the tall man had said she noted that the smallest one was called Noah. Not a common name but at least she knew his name now. Not that the tall guy ever got to finish his sentence in the first place.
"He doesn't mean to sound so demeaning. He means guild. We've joined your guild," Noah intervened. "Mako- mak- the master said you would show us around."

Farrah looked at Kali and thought about the best way of handling this. She was sure that Kali was a fond of this idea as she was, absolutely not that was. She turned back to the two guys and rose from her seat. She smiled prettily and laughed softly. “Why didn’t you two tell us in the first place? Of course we’ll show you around the place.” She said, having this way to sweet a voice which she never, ever, had. Then her eyes darkened and there was a soft base in her mind again. “WHEN WE’RE DONE TALKING!” she shouted at them. she grabbed her bag and looked at them, her eyes were like electricity. “Seriously you don’t just walk to us, coming here with the ‘makorov told us that’ speech. Not when you see that one of us is bored out of her fucking mind and that the other looks like she haven’t had a bath in about two weeks. Come back next week... or never for that matter.” She said grumpily.
She turned at Kali and said “I’m going to the dorms, I need a bath... I’ll see you there later.” She said and with that she stormed off, muttering something about hating guys and that they were pigs and stupid and blabla.

Kali
Farrah chuckled softly at her reply, and Kali showed her a quick smile. She had always liked how Farrah never seemed to mind her moods. "Oh, come on, it couldn't have been that boring while I was gone.. could it?" She asked, and Kali didn't even deem it worthy of a reply. She just threw her a look that said enough.
Farrah, however, only seemed to be grinning about Kali's slightly dramatic presentation of the past few weeks. Annoyed, she noticed she began grinning back. "The pain you must have been feeling all these weeks. How can you live with it?" Farrah asked her with a voice just as dramatic as Kali's sighs.
"Oh, how much I sacrifice for the people of this city," Kali replied, slumping against the table.
Just as Farrah started to talk about the job that had kept her busy for the past few months, the two strangers appeared at their table.
It didn't take a psychic to notice how the mood changed.
"Here we go," Farrah moaned, obviously not in the mood to exchange pleasantries. Maybe that was why she had come to sit with Kali.
One of the two guys leaned forward over the table, and though it probably wasn't his intent, he was suddenly towering over her and Farrah. "Hello ladies," he said, and Farrah threw her a quick look. It was more than obvious now that the girl was annoyed by the sudden new presence.
The guy was still smiling at them, and since Farrah didn't look like she was going to say something, Kali let out a small puff of breath, taking that responsibility for herself. "Erm... hi," was her sharp reply.
She wasn't sure yet what to think of the two, especially since the smaller one just seemed to... stand there. She was just thinking he must be the very shy type, when he gave his friend a well pointed punch in the middle of his sentence.
"He doesn't mean to sound so demeaning," he stepped in. "The master said you would show us around," he finished his friend's story.
Oh.
Kali's mood dropped immediately. Farrah, however, suddenly turned to the two guys and gave them a smile that set the little hairs in her neck on end.

Felix & Noah
The smile the girl gave them turned Felix' grin into a slight frown. No one ever looked that nice. Unconsciously, Felix put himself upright, using his height to his advantage.
"Why didn't you two tell us in the first place? Of course we'll show you around the place," she said. Felix noticed how Noah took a small step closer, so they were standing next to each other again. Suddenly, almost like expected, her eyes darkened. "WHEN WE'RE DONE TALKING!" she shouted at them. Felix flinched, while Noah's hand immediately shifted to the place were his gun was strapped tight.
She grabbed her bag, obviously about to leave. "Seriously, you don't just walk to us, coming here with the 'makorov told us that' speech. Not when you see that one of us is bored out of her fucking mind and that the other looks like she hasn't had a bath in about two weeks. Come back next week... or never for that matter," she said grumpily. She turned to Kali, seemingly done with talking to them both.
Felix made his hand to a fist, though he shoved it in the pocket of his jeans to hide it, before he took a step closer to her. "Oh, I'm so terribly sorry," he said, in a tone that made it clear he was absolutely not. "What would you have us do instead? Would it have been better if we had skipped or way towards you? Honestly, I think you showed us enough of this place after all," he said, smiling widely. "Now we know what people to avoid here."
The other girl's eyes flickered from her friend to him and Noah, her face impassive. She turned as her friend stormed off, muttering things Felix did his best not to pay attention to, because it would probably only anger him more.
"I wonder," he mused, ", is she racist, in a bad mood, or is she just generally a very, very grumpy person?"
Noah stayed silent at his side as the girl still sitting on the bench threw him an odd look. "I believe she just really wanted a bath," she deadpanned.
Felix blinked. "Oh," he said, and turned as soon as he heard the snort from Noah. The girl behind them rolled her eyes and picked up the scythe that was lying on the table. "Sorry, but it seems you two'll need to find yourself another guide. Honestly, I don't know what gramps was thinking, saying we'd show you around," she muttered. Both Noah and Felix gave her a judging frown, which she ignored as she turned around and walked out of the guild.
Noah slumped down onto the bench as soon as the girl was out of sight, and Felix followed his example. "Welcome to Fairy Tail," Felix muttered sarcastically, and Noah gave him a crooked grin, before he folded his arms on the surface of the table and laid his head to rest.
"Let's just rest for a while, and after that we can decide if we try and ask someone else - which i decidedly vote against - or if we go look where we'll be sleeping tonight," he muttered. It was that they had practically grown up attached to each other, or else Felix probably wouldn't have understood him. "Great idea," he sighed, stretching his legs under the table.

Farrah

The water was hot and it relaxed Farrah totally. She felt how the filth of her journey was washed away from her body by the water. Still she had her headphone on. Why? Would you ask. It was a difficult matter. Farrah was very sensitive with sounds, voices, anything that had to do with hearing actually. Without the headphone everything would overwhelm her and she would probably die. But now she was just relaxing in the tub, a soft music in her mind. Her power was to use the very being of sound itself. It could be in words or in melodies but she could make sounds into a weapon, sometimes a deathly weapon of she wanted it to be.
After some time she lifted herself out of the tub and she felt as if reborn. She redressed in a bootcut jeans and a tight top, it was way too hot to wear something with long sleeves that was for sure. But just as she wanted to leave the dorms somebody appeared in front of her.
“Master!” she said surprised, looking at the tiny tiny man in front of her. The normally, quite happy looking face, was now not that amused and she immediately knew why. “You acted like a child right there. So now you have to deal with something I know you hate more!” the man said, putting up his thump because he knew that she would hate it and because he loved to see people do something they hated to do, not always but simply most of the time. Farrah grunted in return but she was silenced by his rising hand. “You’re going to find Kali and those two new guys. I have a mission for the four of you. You will obey my will, Farrah.” He said. With that he just gave her a piece of paper and left, leaving her stunned and speechless.

“Un-fucking-believable!” Farrah shouted. She had just found Kali and she had explained to her what had happened with the master. “And of course he gave no explanation whatsoever so we are stuck with those two shitholes! He knows how much I hate working with new guys.” She said and she sat down. They were sitting in the dorms and already Farrah was thinking about how she was to find those two new guys. “Do you even know the otherone’s name? He did say something but I didn’t really bother to listen... I really wanted a bath.” She said with a sigh.
“Well, I think the story about my last job will have to wait and I have this feeling that you’re time of being bored to death is over. At least for the time being of course.” She said to Kali. Her gaze went sideways to her friend and she rose. She had already packed a bag, again, for the journey and she was quite ready.
“Let’s go find those little shits and drag them with us. As long as they don’t slow us down that is.”

After some time of searching she finally saw the two and she stopped. Not that she cared about having been a total bitch but she just hated working with other people, expect for working with Kali once in a while, that she could  handle. “You go talk to them. I don’t think they’ll appreciate me after I shouted at them.” she said, shrugging.
Farrah stood there for some time while Kali was walking and talking to the two of them. at least she hadn’t shouted at them like Farrah had done. But, after some time had passed, Farrah grew impatient, as always, and she walked to them as well. “I don’t want to rush you or anything but the faster we leave the faster we’ll be out of each other faces and I think we all want that to happened sooner rather than later.” She said to them. she looked at Kali, then drew a map. She always had a map but this was an extra one, her map had all her old routes on it, this one was rather new. “Here is a map with a route to our destination. If you don’t mind I’ll be on my way.” She said, as she turned around and started to walk away. “I’m Farrah by the way!”

Kali
She hadn't spent more than an hour out on the streets, already growing bored again after that. Just as she had entered the hallway to the dorms, where most of the Fairy Tail members slept, when Farrah had stopped her.
Now they were sitting in the small shared living room, with Farrah raging after having told the job master had given them. Kali wasn't sure how to react herself - she felt relieved that she'd had something to do, finally, but.. well- working together with those two newbies would be awkward at best, toe-curling at worst. Whatever way it would go, it wouldn't be something to look out to. "And of course he gave no explanation whatsoever, so we are stuck with those two shitholes!" Farrah said, and despite the situation Kali couldn't help but grin a little. "Someone's a little wound up," she said innocently.
"Maybe it'll be like.. a warming up job, and we won't have to work together that much," she said, turning serious again. "Do you even know the other one's name? He did say something, but I didn't really bother to listen.. I really wanted a bath," Farrah said.
Kali shrugged her shoulders. "They didn't introduce themselves- though I can understand why. I mean, we're not really the welcoming type," she muttered.
When Farrah rose to her feet, she followed her example. Her bag was already packed - it had been the first thing she had done as soon as Farrah had told her they had a job.

Fairy Tail Top_model_apocalypse_by_naimane-d7wnd8ix
Felix & Noah
They were still seated in the cantine, both feeling to tired to stand up or make any decisions. They had travelled for most of the day- most of the week, actually, and now they both felt it in their muscles.
"We could search for a dorm or something, take a bath if we get the chance," Felix started, just as one of the girls from earlier appeared at the head of their table.
Felix raised his eyebrows at her. "Rude. Can't you see we're talking?" He said dryly.
The girl seemed to decide on ignoring his words, and she placed her scythe on the table, flicking a strand of blonde hair out of her face. "Look, we don't get along, we've already established that, though Farrah feels terribly sorry about her outburst earlier. She's not as much as a dick as she makes herself look," she said.
"You don't sound very convincing," Noah said, folding his hands so he could rest his chin on them.
The girl opened her mouth, seemed to think better of it, and then blurted out, "the master has given us a job. Protesting will make no difference, trust me, Farrah has already tried. He wants us to go check it out. I mean, us as in the four of us," she said.
Noah and Felix stared at her, silent, until Noah was the one to finally break it. "I'm suddenly doubting our choice to join Fairy Tail," he said, giving the girl a look with barely hidden annoyance. She returned the exact same look, before holding out her hand, making obvious she only did it out of social obligatories. "I'm Kali. Like I said, my friend's name is Farrah."
With a scowl, Noah accepted her hand. "Noah. That's Felix," he said. Just after they had introduced themselves, the girl named Farrah turned up at Kali's shoulder.
"I don't want to rush you or anything but the faster we leave, the faster we'll be out of each other faces and I think we all want that happened sooner rather than later," she spoke. She looked at her friend before drawing a map.
Felix stretched out his arms above his head, both his shoulders cracking at the movement.
"Don't think you need to worry about speed, darling," he grinned. Noah tried not to roll his eyes at that- normally Felix acted very different. It was only when he didn't like someone he started talking like an asshole. Noah couldn't really blame him, though. He felt the same way about the two girls, after all. Deciding to stay at Felix' side, he threw them a dubious look. "I'm not so sure about that, Felix," he said. "I tend to be a bit slow without a good night's sleep."
Felix threw him a wide grin, enjoying the inside joke, before he bent forward to look at the map.
"Here is a map with a route to our destination. If you don't mind I'll be on my way," Farrah said, before turning around and walking towards the exit. Kali immediately followed, neither of them looking over their shoulder to see if they would follow.
Not that it was necessary; both men rose to their feet and followed without a word - though Noah let out a loud sigh.
It didn't take long for them to catch up with the two girls, and Noah decided to ignore his pride for once. "So, what exactly is it we're going to do?" He asked to no one in particular.

Farrah

"Don't think you need to worry about speed, darling," the tall one had said. He had called her darling... if he would do that ever again he would feel the meaning of pain. The other one had reacted a little more normal at that, talking about a good night sleep and all. But now she was out in the open and she could hear Kali falling in behind her.
“What a bunch of sissies. Like walking is such a big deal. I’ve been walking for twenty hours every day for about three weeks and you don’t hear me complaining about needing a decent night sleep.” She hissed. Yes, Farrah was getting angry again and at a quick rate this time. She simply felt out of place with those to right behind them.
Yes, she had already known that they would follow her and Kali once they were out of the door because she had heard them moving again and so it was not a shock to her that THAT question came up.
"So, what exactly is it we're going to do?" one of them said, Farrah thought that it was the small one, Noah. She sighed and shook her head. “I don’t know the details but something about a town, an idiot and a diamond.” She said, moving her hands to deliver the message about she not knowing anymore than that. “I just know our destination and who we are to speak to and that’s all about it.” She said. Then Farrah turned to Kali and pulled her aside. She had to tell at least someone what had happened earlier. “You two walk first, I don’t trust you one bit.” She hissed to the two of them, squinting her eyes. With them in front of her and Kali she could tell her friend about what she saw earlier right before she came back to the guild.
Slowly she moved again, back behind the two guys and she spoke to Kali. “Right before I got back I was in these woods and I was attacked. I think that he was still alive when I left him but it was a dark wizard. I wanted to tell the master about it but he sent us out on this job so I couldn’t find the right time. I just think we should keep an eye out for more strange things, especially in the dark.” Farrah told her, her eyes moving quickly. There was no music in her ears, just a silence. She had cast a spell that would enhance her ability the hear the softest of sounds, so now there would be no way that they would be attacked unknowingly. “So keep you’re scythe at the ready.” She whispered and with that she moved up her pace again and so they came directly behind the two men again.

It had been a bit awkward, well... very awkward at the least. Farrah didn’t feel right and so she kept quiet, no way she was going to say sorry the them about her behaviour earlier when the two of them came to their table.
“So what kind of magic do you two use?” she asked after some time. It was a very logical question, knowing that there was going to be a fight in the near future it would be nice to know one’s abilities... if they had any.

Kali
As expected, the job already started off as horrible. With the two new guys walking behind them, obviously just as annoyed they had to work together as she and Farrah were, and Farrah blowing off her steam by exclaiming what a "sissies" they were (Kali didn't make that up- Farrah actually had called them sissies), she felt as if she was supposed to be the buffer.
God knew she was absolute pants at playing the buffer.
"So, what exactly is it we're going to do?"
The guy who had introduced himself as Noah appeared at their shoulder, and Kali stiffened a little. She treasured her personal space, more than most, and the guy appearing out of nowhere didn't do her already bad mood any good.
"I don't know the details, but something about a town, an idiot and a diamond," she said. Kali stiffled a dry laugh. "Isn't always about some idiot?" She muttered, though she knew she was being a little dark about it at the moment. Of course there were some clever clients as well. She just wasn't in the mood to see the bright side of things. Not with the current tension hanging in the air between them.
"I just know our destination and who we are to speak to and that's all about it," Farrah concluded. After that, she turned to Kali again, and pulled her aside. "You two walk first, I don't trust you one bit," she told the two men, before she turned back to Kali again.
"Right before I got back I was in these woods and I was attacked. I think that he was still alive when I left him, but it was a dark wizard. I wanted to tell the master about it but he sent us out on this job so I couldn't find the right time. I just think we should keep an eye out for more strange things, especially in the dark," she told her.
Kali grew a little cold at those words, and her fingers tensed a little around the scythe leaning on her shoulder. "So keep you're scythe at the ready," Farrah whispered. Kali gave her a wry smile. "Don't I always?" She muttered in reply. "Though Gramps won't be exactly delighted if I have to used it here in Magnolia. Fairy Tail is already known for destroying whole towns. No need to prove it to the people here," she said. Her magic wasn't the cleanest of sorts; in fact, she could feel proud whenever she managed to keep the walls of houses standing upright.

Felix & Noah
Of course neither of the two girls at least tried to make them feel home. Not that Noah had expected them to, after how they had welcomed them. If it hadn't been for Felix still walking at his side, he would've lost it at the casual remark of Farrah not trusting them.
"Just keep our goal in mind," Felix had muttered, and when Noah had looked to his side, he had seen his friend looking just as tensed as he felt.
Though they both were the type to do the exact opposite of what people told them to do, this time they did as Farrah had asked- or, well, ordered. They walked side to side, their shoulders sometimes bumping (okay, Noah's shoulder bumping Felix' elbow, fine). He was aware of the fact that Felix was trying to catch what Kali and Farrah were saying, but they were too far away to understand anything. Noah stroked the warm metal of his gun with his thumb. The movement calmed him a little, and he let out a strained sigh.
"So far, so good," Felix muttered sarcastically, and Noah threw him a grin. "At least we can get to action right away," he said, trying to keep seeing the bright side of things. It got harder with every minute he had to spend with the two girls. "It's not as if we would feel any more relaxed if we had stayed in Magnolia. Staying in one place isn't really our thing, after all," he added.
Felix let out a sigh, loud enough for Kali and Farrah to catch so they could be sure how much he enjoyed this, and stretched his arms above his head, cracking his bones. "Still, I'd preferred it if we could have taken a job without those-,"
"So what kind of magic do you two use?"
Felix almost literally jumped at the sudden voice behind them, and Noah tried hard not to laugh out loud. "Funny how you believe we can trust you," he said, throwing her earlier words back in her face.
After that, however, he pursed his lips and answered anyway, because it would be nothing more than childish if he and Felix' kept the knowlegde from them (not that he had ever denied being childish).
"I'm- quick footed," he said, and could see Felix grinning from the corner of his eye at the understatement. "He means he has High Speed magic," Felix clarified. "I can teleport," he added. "Now would be the time for you guys to tell us what you can do."
Noah's eyes flicked to Kali. "You have Storm Magic, obviously," he said, eyeing the large scythe she carried over her shoulder. Farrah was more difficult, because she didn't wear any obvious weapons or jewellery that could have to do with her magic. The headphones could be a hint, but to be honest he had no idea what it actually meant.

Farrah

Farrah felt better now that she knew that Kali new about her doubts at that point. Now however she was always focussed on everything around her. There were all these sounds. Of course that was quite usual, knowing there were near a town, in a forest. She knew all the sounds that came at her. There was a bird, one of those possum things, a deer running. Wait... running...
"Funny how you believe we can trust you," he said, his voice catching her a bit off guard even though it had been her own question that had lead to this answer. “Very funny.” She growled back softly. After that she found out that the tall one, Felix, used teleportation magic and that the small one, Noah, used high speed magic. That would come in handy and she smiled, already seeming to forget about the running deer. Also she noticed that both of them already seemed to know that Kali used storm magic, well... it was quite obvious.
Again something made her stop and she turned a bit to the left, trying to hear everything that was going on around her. More running, not only deer this time but there was something else, she could feel it and she shivered. “We need to move on, quickly. When I give the signal we’re going to make a run for it.” She said, not thinking about answering the question first.
She walked on again, always keeping an eye on everything, growing even more tense with every meter that she walked. There was a cracking sound, normal people were unable to hear it but for her it seemed like a hill collapsed. “RUN!” she shouted, just before a huge creature came out of the bushes.

She ran like she always did, light footed and jumping over everything that would stand in her way. Of course Felix was faster than all of them but luckily it seemed like they would make it out alright. She counted on Kali to do something if the creature got to near, that was always their way of attacking. Farrah simply couldn’t always rely on her powers to be on their max, especially when she was already using a spell that was slowly draining her.
There was a soft light in front of her and she put some extra speed in her pace. She ran out of the forest, into the open and there she was greeted by the first light and by the sight of those giant mountains some miles ahead of them. a smile broke across her face as she heard the creature slipping into a stop and crying out at the heavens. She already knew that it had been summoned by one of the dark wizards, probably one of the same order as the dark one she had met earlier that day.
Farrah was tired, more tired than she would ever admit and for a time she sat on the ground, catching her breath and taking a sip of water. Everything was dancing around her, her magic was taking a toll on her. Finally she rose again, looking at her three companions... well at least for now.
“I use sound magic. That is how I was able to detect the creature being summoned and coming for us. It was already stalking us when we got into the forest.” She started, making a new braid in her, now very poofy looking, hair. There was no ‘standard’ edition of sound magic but that was how far her explanation went and so that was all she let go about it... for now at least.
“I think we’ll be safe for now. If I am correct it will take a few miles to get to the cottage on the hillside, there we can rest and get some sleep.” She said.

Kali
Farrah seemed to grow a little distant as they walked on, but just as Kali started to wonder if something was off, she seemed to return her attention to the two strangers. "Very funny," Farrah growled at Noah's reply. Kali would have laughed about the constant bitching if she wasn't part of it herself. She could see Farrah smile despite the rivalry, however, as the tall one told them what they were able to do. Kali had to admit as well, it wasn't exactly a bad thing to have two colleagues who were able to move around quickly.
Before she could open her mouth, Noah already guessed what she could do. Not that Kali could be surprised about that; her scythe gave away most of it, after all. Despite that, she still wanted to have the last word when it concerned herself, so she threw him a sweet smile. "It's also very useful for cutting of limbs," she said in the just-a-little-too-innocent tone that was her trademark.
She turned to Farrah, expecting her to try and explain to the two strangers what her type of magic was - sometimes Kali herself didn't even get it completely - when her friend suddenly stopped walking. Kali lowered her scythe to the ground, knowing Farrah well enough to know something was off.
"We need to move on, quickly. When I give the signal we're going to make a run for it." Kali saw the taller one opening his mouth, but she shut him up quickly by giving him a hard glare. "Just do as she says," she told him.
As Farrah stared walking again, she followed suit, though she made sure her scythe was kept at her side instead of on her shoulder, ready for use if necessary.
She could sense Farrah growing more tense with every step, and Kali kept herself from doing the same by smoothing the creases out of her dress. Just as she started to believe Farrah would burst from the tension, she let out a loud, "RUN!", before storming off. Kali immediately followed, though she made sure to stay the last in line - attacking someone with a flash of lightning was easier when she didn't need to worry about others running behind her.

Fairy Tail Top_model_apocalypse_by_naimane-d7wnd8ix
Felix & Noah
After Farrah's slightly odd warning, Felix grew more annoyed with every step. He wondered, not for the first time, if it would have been better if they hadn't joined the guild after all. Until now it didn't seem to do them any good, while that had been their actual plan from the start: after they had left their own country, they had decided joining a guild would do them best. They had never been part of one before, but they had heard enough rumours about how it was like having a second family, or a new home: they could use both.
However, Felix couldn't for the live of him imagine how he could see the two girls as family. "Just- we'll push through, it won't be like this for the rest of our lives," Noah murmured next to him, to soft for the two girls to hear - he hoped.
Unfortunately his words didn't do Felix much good - having spent most of their life together Noah could easily detect when Felix felt annoyed or on the brink of exploding. However, that meant Felix could just as well sense Noah barely believed his own words. Just as he opened his mouth to tell Felix they could always leave, Farrah shouted a loud, "RUN!".
She was off immediately, just before a huge creature appeared behind them. The adrenaline instantly rushed through his veins, and Noah sprinted off. He knew he didn't need to worry about Felix - the guy could reach their destination even faster than Noah if he thought it necessary. Instead he made sure to follow right behind Farrah, who - for a normal person - was quite fast herself. Only when he saw the light at the end of the woods, guessing that was where Farrah and Kali were headed, he sped up. Despite the danger behind them, the familiar tingling through his legs brought a wide grin to his face, and he dashed around the trees until he reached the open spot.
The sight of the mountains looming in the distance brought him to a stop, and he allowed himself a short moment to enjoy the sight. It would never be the same as his home town, but it was beautiful nonetheless.
He ran a hand through his hair, waiting for the rest to arrive. It didn't take too long - the many trees had prevented him from running at full speed, just as the fact it hadn't been completely necessary.
Farrah was the first to arrive, and he watched as a smile broke across her face as a distant cry sounded from the woods. Noah guessed it belonged to the creature that had tried to attack them.
Farrah sat down on the ground, and Noah eyed her for a few seconds before turning back to the mountains. "Is that where we're headed?" He asked, mostly because he wasn't sure what else to do with the silence. He always felt a little awkward when listening to others catching their breath after a run. He rarely felt out of breath after running. Tired, yes, but because of his magic running just wasn't the same for him as most.
"Loved it how I had to carry your luggage all through the forest, you pisshead."
Noah jumped a little at the sudden voice behind him, and threw Felix a judging frown. "I didn't ask you to," he muttered, though he relaxed a little as he saw Felix' grin.
Just at that moment, Kali arrived as well, with grin on her face that was wider than Noah had thought was possible.
"Finally some fun going around here," she said, though it was mostly directed at Farrah. "You alright?" She added.
"I use sound magic. That is how I was able to detect the creature being summoned and coming for us. It was already stalking us when we got into the forest," Farrah said, braiding her hair. "I think we'll be safe for now. If I am correct it will take a few miles to get to the cottage on the hillside, there we can rest and get some sleep," she said.
"Does that happen a lot? Creatures appearing in the woods, I mean?" Felix asked, while Noah relaxed a little at the thought of rest. He could definitely use it.
"And there was me thinking mages would make sure the large cities like Magnolia were save," Felix said, a little obvious jest towards the two girls. Noah threw him a warning glare, before taking over his own bag, slinging it over his shoulder after making sure the sword strapped to his back wasn't in the way.

Fairy Tail 13280610

Farrah

“I am all right, Kali. I’m just a little worn out by the spell I’ve been using. I’ll live.” She said warmly to her friend. She picked up her bag from the ground and swung it over her shoulder again.
"Does that happen a lot? Creatures appearing in the woods, I mean?" Felix asked. Farrah shook her head. “Normally not. I’ll explain myself when we’re at the cottage. It’s best to be as far away from this forest by nightfall.” She said, looking at the sky with a little concern in her eyes. They only had about two hours of daylight left. When the light was gone the dark wizards would appear again, she was sure of that. Perhaps she could ask that Felix guy if he could take a message to the master when they were safe?
She started to walk again, slower this time and she also stopped her spell. She could use something else if there was any real danger but she hoped they would reach the safety of the guild’s cottage in time.

The walk took them about one hour and a bit but when Farrah got to the cottage she was exhausted. “Go ahead, Kali. Bust it in girl.” She said, grinning a bit because she knew that Kali would probably like to do that, just as her friend had come out of the woods grinning her face of telling that there, finally, was some excitement.
Once busted in Farrah walked into the cottage and put her stuff on one of the six beds in there. It looked good enough. Most guild members used this cottage when they went through the mountains, just to get some rest for the long journey ahead. “Sleep as much as you can. It will be an early rise tomorrow but it’s comfortable enough here.” She said, forgetting already how she actually didn’t really want to be here. She opened her bag and got some food out of it. “We can warm up a can of soup.”
Soon there was a fire in the fireplace and there was a metal pot dangling above it, the soup was already steaming. Farrah divided the soup into four bowl and gave everyone a bowl and a spoon. When she stood near Felix she took a deep breath and turned to him. “How far can you teleport?” she asked him, tasting her soup. “The master needs to receive a warning about the woods. It’s important and perhaps some of the other guild members can take care of that little inconvenience.” She explained. She sat down next to Kali and sipped her soup a little while she thought about what happened and awaited Felix’s answer.

It would be a short night and so Farrah went to bed right after dinner, still keeping up her headphone. Now however there was a calming music in her mind and she closed her eyes, humming the song softly to herself. The next few days would hopefully pass by with not that much of a fuss.

Kali
"I am all right, Kali," Farrah answered, and Kali relaxed a little. "I'm just a little worn out by the spell I've been using. I'll live," she explained. Kali made a face. She always felt a little sorry for mages like Farrah. She was obviously powerful, but her magic came with a price. The only downside of Kali's magic was that she had to carry her scythe, and she loved the weapon so much she didn't really mind.
"Does that happen a lot?" Felix asked after a short moment of silence, in which Farrah had risen back to her feet again. "Normally not," Farrah asked. "I'll explain myself when we're at the cottage. It's best to be as far away from this forest by nightfall," she said. Kali followed her gaze upwards, guessing they needed to hurry if Farrah was right about that. She followed Farrah, looking towards the mountains.
The danger from earlier left her more alert, and she took in the sounds around her. Kali had always liked the cottage near the mountains, and despite their unwanted company she looked forward to sleeping there.

An hour later the small cottage appeared in the distance, and Kali unconsciously picked up her pace a little. She seemed to be the only one left with some energy - probably because she had had nothing to do for weeks but hang around the guild.
"Go ahead, Kali," Farrah said as they arrived. "Bust it in, girl," she added, but Kali had already lowered to her knees so she could pick the lock. The door swung open with a soft, creaking sound, and Kali walked in to claim the first bed - the one in the corner, as usual. After she had laid down her bag and scythe, she turned back to Farrah. "Sleep as much as you can. It will be an early rise tomorrow, but it's comfortable enough here," her friend said. She seemed a little less tense than before, and Kali enjoyed the change of atmosphere. Not that she suddenly liked the two newbies. "We can warm up a can of soup."
Kali let out a grunt. "Soup is the only thing I haven't missed," she muttered.

Fairy Tail Top_model_apocalypse_by_naimane-d7wnd8ix
Felix & Noah
For some reason the tension had seemed to ease a little after their short run, and Felix could feel the muscles in his shoulders relax a little. Noah still seemed tense, though, and when they reached a small cottage he softly bumped his shoulder.
Noah gave him an annoyed scowl, but still relaxed a little.

As they sat down around the metal pot filled with soup, Felix tried to find enough space for his legs. When he didn't succeed, he tried to be content with folding his legs in front of him. The beds would probably be too small as well, he thought a little grimly. Farrah handed everyone a bowl of soup, and it only took Felix a few seconds to empty it. "How far can you teleport?" Felix almost dropped his spoon when Farrah's voice suddenly sounded next to him. He looked up to her, frowning. "Why d'you ask?"
"The master needs to receive a warning about the woods. It's important and perhaps some of the other guild members can take care of that little inconvenience," she explained. Felix'  eyes went to Noah, who had been silently staring at his full bowl of soup. He knew his friend had barely slept last night; he would need it now, otherwise Felix would probably have to carry him half of the way. "I guess I can go there quickly," he said slowly, trying to hide how he'd rather stay here. He didn't want to let Farrah or Kali know how he hated to leave Noah behind. In fact, he didn't want them to know anything if it was up to him.
He let out a sigh, then put his bowl down. "Fine, I get why they need to know. Just be aware of the fact that I refuse to be anyone's message boy," he added in a warning tone. Noah let out a soft laugh. Felix recognised it as being a little forced, though Noah was able to hide it to anyone else. "As if anyone would want you for that. You'd forget half of it," Noah said. "Thanks a lot for the confidence, mate," Felix replied dryly. Noah threw him a quick smile as they exchanged some quick silent words with their eyes.
I'll be alright.

Fine, I'll come back soon.

I'll wait for you.

Felix rose to his feet, stretching his back. "So, all I need to tell them is about what happened in the forest, right?" He asked Farrah. "Doesn't sound too difficult. 'll be back in a few," he added, before suddenly disappearing out of the room.

Noah forced himself to empty the bowl of soup, though he could feel his stomach churning with every sip. Farrah and Kali both retreated to their chosen beds, but Noah stayed seated on the ground next to the empty pot. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep without Felix in the same room, and it would be useless to even try. So instead he leaned back against the wall and stared at the emptied bowl in his hands, waiting.

It would be a short night and so Farrah went to bed right after dinner, still keeping up her headphone. Now however there was a calming music in her mind and she closed her eyes, humming the song softly to herself. The next few days would hopefully pass by with not that much of a fuss.

Farrah

Thank goodness that Felix’s wanted to take the message to the master. That saved them a whole lot of time and effort. But somehow it had seemed like the two of them stranger had some connection other than being each other’s companions. They were simply more than that and Farrah really wanted to find out what that more was. But right now she was tired, so very tired. The image’s of the sounds were right there in front of her while she slept and went over every detail again and again. How could she have missed the obvious! She couldn’t help but think furiously. There was more to this than a dark guild that just wanted to be a little more than nothing, it was only something Farrah couldn’t lay her finger on.
She knew the symbol though. It was the symbol of the Death's Head Caucus, a very dangerous Group of wizard acting under the protection of some other guild probably and they were all assassins. But why and who would sent assassins after Fairy Tail wizards? She wondered.
But no matter how long she stayed awake and how much she turned and twisted in her bed, she finally fell into a restless sleep.

The morning sun woke her up and Farrah rose. There were dark rings under her eyes that betrayed her lack of sleep and she stepped out of bed as quiet as possible, for her that was an easy things to do since she could manipulate sound too. Nobody awoke and she walked out the door, she needed some time for herself to think things through, just as long as she was back in about an hour there would be no disaster.
Farrah felt the cold wind on her skin as she stepped out of the cottage and closed her eyes. Maybe for a moment she could remove her headphone, if only to feel and hear everything clearly. Now that there was no direct threat it could be that she could be released for at least a moment. So she put of her headphone and closed her eyes, feeling peace coming over her immediately. It felt great to hear the voice of the wind and the sounds that it brought with it. Soon however a threatening sound came from south and she put them back on, time to wake the others, they had to move.

“Wake up you guys. We have to leave. I fear they’re going to find and fight us otherwise.” She said after she had awoken Kali a bit more gently. “We can eat on our way but right now we have to go. We’re on some shitass job but at least the town we’re headed for is more safe than these parts, at least for now.” Farrah said and so they left again. Not in the most energetic way, certainly not Farrah, but still they moved. The coming two days would mean only mountains and food, little sleep and allot of storytelling.
“So ... where do you two come from?”she asked after some time of awkward silence.

Kali
Kali was blessed as a person who could fall asleep almost anywhere, so the strange environment or Noah still sitting awake formed no obstacle for her. It took mere moments before she had fallen asleep. The next morning Farrah appeared next to her bed. "Wake up you guys. We have to leave. I fear they're going to find and fight us otherwise," she said, and Kali let out a sigh. "We can eat on our way but right now we have to go. We're on some shitass job but at least the town we're headed for is more safe than these parts, at least for now," she added. Kali guessed she had been awake for a while already, but the bags under her eyes didn't go unseen. It appeared Kali had been the only one who had gotten a good night's sleep; she could hear low grunts and deep sighs coming from the other side of the room as the two men woke up as well.
She frowned as she noticed that Felix was sitting on the ground, his back leaning against the bed Noah was in. Odd. Had he slept there?
She decided to dwell on that thought some other time as she rose from her bed, searching through her bag for a clean pair of clothes.
Despite the fact that both guys woke up slowly, they didn't take long getting ready and in a few short moments they were standing outside again, ready to continue their trip.

Fairy Tail Top_model_apocalypse_by_naimane-d7wnd8ix
Felix & Noah
The previous evening Felix had returned not long after Kali and Farrah had fallen asleep. Promising to stay close to Noah, he had ended up sleeping on the ground, his head resting on the edge of Noah's pillow. This morning he felt the consequences; his body felt sore all over, and whenever he tried to move his head his neck protested with a lot of cracking bones and firing nerves.
Noah seemed to have slept a little however, so Felix decided he could live with one morning filled with muscle aches if it meant Noah would have enough energy for the trip. After he had bullied his body into moving despite its protests, it didn't take long for him to put on a clean shirt and strap on his weapons. Noah did the same, muttering a quick thank you towards Felix, before they left the cottage.
In the beginning, they let Farrah and Kali walk in front of them, while he and Noah both took their time to wake up fully. "Next time I'm just going to sleep next to you," Felix grunted as his neck ached in protest for the hundredth time that morning. Noah threw him a weak grin. "Little gay, don't you think?" He noted dryly. Felix threw him a dramatic look. "Well, I can't help it. Your hair's so shiny, it's hard to resist," he said, slinging an arm around Noah's shoulders.
"So.. where do you two come from?" Farrah asked, and Felix noticed that suddenly she and Kali weren't walking that far away from them anymore. "Jesus, do you have to do that?" He muttered, dropping his arm again. "Glad you're finally finding out how creepy it is if someone suddenly appears next to you," Noah replied. Felix threw him a quasi-hurt look before turning back to Farrah, growing serious again.
"We were from Freyburn," he said. "It used to be a small village in Coldice," he added, naming the country they were from. "It doesn't exist anymore, though."
“So ... where do you two come from?

Farrah

Of course Farrah had noticed the odd position that Felix had been in when she had awoken them but at the moment she couldn’t really care less. The only things she thought about was that they had to get further into the mountains to get away from whatever was following them.
But, she kept on thinking, when the moment arrives that a lake is nearby I WILL go for a swim.

The guys in front of her and Kali were being quite... peculiar and she looked at Kali for a moment. “That’s a joke right? I mean they won’t really be gay... or maybe.” She said, smiling at the end of her sentence. But when she had ask them where they had come from Felix seemed to be a bit nervous and she found that she laughed, truly this time. “Yeah, sorry... manipulating sounds is sometimes a bit uneasy for the bystanders.” She said to him.
"We were from Freyburn," Noah said, which gained him a look of Total not-understanding. Farrah didn’t even really knew what he was talking about and she had seen places some people had never been too in their life. "It used to be a small village in Coldice," he added then, naming the country they were from. "It doesn't exist anymore, though."
There was a pang of hurt in her chest when he said that his home didn’t exist anymore. “What happened?” she asked quietly. It was not like Farrah was a nosy person, she simply wanted to know who and what she was dealing with. She was already thinking about what she was going to say to them about her. Why did she even want to share information with those two? Hadn’t she called them sissies a little earlier? Of course she had meant it but now it seemed more important to get to know each other a little better.

No matter how things went the same question came her way.... where do you come from. “I am from... I don’t know actually. I’ve been travelling all my life, something like a gypsy I suppose. My mother was a skilled wizard in the same magic that I posses and so she taught me allot. But once when we got to Magnolia my parents had a talk, told me it was my place to stay there with the guild and so I was left there, been there for about fifteen year now I think.” Farrah said, having this distant look in her eyes. She wasn’t going to plan on telling them why her parents had arranged for her to stay with master makarov. She had never told anyone, except for Kali, that it was her scream that had led a village to it’s destruction. Once at the guild she had learned to control her powers and that was why she was made to have the headphone on. Also because sometimes a sound, or multiple, could be so powerful that without her headphone on, she could die.

Felix & Noah
"Yeah, sorry, manipulating sounds is sometimes a bit uneasy for the bystanders," Farrah explained, actually laughing. The sound surprised them both, though not in a negative way. If it wasn't for the weird position he had slept in, Felix was sure he could have felt the tension draining out of his muscles. "He deserves it," Noah said, earning him another quasi-hurt glare.
The joking atmosphere between them disappeared when Felix mentioned their old town. Just as he had expected, Farrah gave him a blank look until he named the country they were from. He wasn't even sure how much they knew about Coldice here; he sure as hell hadn't known anything about Fiore until he had entered it.
"What happened?" Farrah asked when he told her the town was gone now. To his surprise, she didn't sound nosy. He felt himself relaxing a little, despite the bad start they had had.
"It was burned to the ground," he said, throwing a quick look at Noah, who had grown quiet again. He never liked talking about their town: it probably brought back to many memories. "It's different in Coldice, less- organised," Felix told, trying to explain the whole country in a few words. He was sure he didn't really succeed, but at least Kali and Farrah would get the idea. "Freyburn was growing wealthier, the nearest town didn't like it; end of story."
When he asked them where they were from, mostly out of politeness and to change the subject for Noah, he got an answer he would never have expected.
"I am from... I don't know actually," Farrah said, and he found himself grinning. "That's the weirdest thing I've heard this week," he said. "And I've listened to a lady who tried to convince me to buy her duck," he added, earning a soft laugh from Noah.
It had been a very strange lady.
"I've been travelling all my life, something like a gypsy I suppose. My mother was a skilled wizard in the same magic that I possess and so she taught me allot. But once when we got to Magnolia my parents had a talk, told me it was my place to stay there with the guild and so I was left there, been there for about fifteen year now I think," Farrah explained.
Felix wondered why she had had to stay in the city, but he didn't ask. She probably didn't tell him for the same reason he didn't tell her anything more about what had happened in Freyburn. They barely knew each other, after all.

Fairy Tail Old_by_lanwu-d38mnhgx
Kali
She had listened quietly as Felix and Farrah both told where they were from, trailing patterns across the wood of her scythe. She almost felt guilty about how easy her own life had been in comparison, even though she was aware of how stupid that would be. It wasn't as if she had any say in the matter, after all.
"I'm just a walking stereotype, really," she said after a few beats of silence. "Filthy rich parents with even more filthier ideas about how the world should be and what I should do. We didn't really get along. My father wanted me to marry some faceless guy with an important name and a lot of money, my mother wanted me to be a lady, and I wanted to run my own tattoo shop," she summarised. "When things got really tense my brother smuggled me out of the house and I fled to the capital city, where I ended up joining Fairy Tail. Still thinking about that tattoo shop, though."
She only looked at Farrah, because she had already known her backstory. She always felt a little uncomfortable when she told others how wealthy her family was, and how she had run away from them like a spoiled little girl. To be honest, she had been a little spoiled when she was younger.
Just as she opened her mouth to change the subject - she was sure she wasn't the only one wanting to avoid any more questions - a loud rumbling sound came from the mountains around them.
Her eyes grew a little wide as she looked up, just in time to see the thick layers of sand and rock rolling down. "Fuck."

Farrah

Farrah looked at Kali, who was now talking about her life, how it had been fore she had joined the guild. She already knew about the history of her friend and she laughed when she talked about the tattoo shop. “Stop that with the tattoo thing will you. It won’t ever work.” She said, pushing Kali softly. Just as she wanted to continue to talk she looked at Kali’s face and saw the look. A little surprised Farrah looked the same way and her eyes widened in a horror. The mountaintop came rushing down. Hundreds of tiny stones came first, followed by larger and after that even larger ones. They had to run.

Farrah didn’t really know what to do so she jelled at them all to run. Of course everyone had already figured that out for themselves and so they ran, hard. However Farrah knew that there could be no way they could ever outrun this. She was the last of the line and she thought about it while she ran, thinking about a solution that wouldn’t be there without any serious consequences. She could try, she had to. If the stones wouldn’t crush them then the stones would push them over the side for sure. If she didn’t try they wouldn’t make it anyway.
So she stopped, turned around, jelled at the rest to keep on running and to keep their ears shut. She didn’t put of the headphone, the thundering sound the stones made would mean a terrible pain, and so she simply screamed. Her scream filled the air, going ever higher and higher until the sound burst into a thousand little pieces. It was like a rain coming from the sky and with that it was over for  a moment. However Farrah had used up to much of her magic energy and dropped down, unconscious.

Kali
Farrah let out a laugh when she mentioned the tattoo shop, and Kali threw her a cold glare. "Stop with the tattoo thing, will you," she said. "It won't ever work." She gave her a soft push, and Kali tried not to pout. "Why not?" She asked. "I can draw, you know," she muttered. "I mean, I know I don't have fancy magic I can use, but there are normal humans making tattoos as well," she defended herself.

When she saw the dirt above them starting to move, it didn't take very long for the rest to notice as well. Before she could say anything, Noah and Felix already started running. Farrah, standing a little behind her, yelled for them to run nevertheless, and after a few short beats Kali remembered how to move her feet and start running.
How did a fucking avalanche start here?
She could hear Farrah running behind her, and she tried very hard not to look back. It wouldn't help Farrah in any way; all it would do was slow herself down. Suddenly Farrah's footstepts behind her stopped, and Kali was already slowing down when she yelled at them to keep on running and to cover their ears. Without thinking - Kali knew Farrah long enough to know what to expect next - she clenched her scythe in the hollow of her elbow and put both her hands over her ears. She yelled at Noah and Felix to do the same - it was possible she had added some unnecessary curse words, she wasn't sure - right before a high pitched scream filled her ears, despite the fact she had covered them. She could only imagine the pain if she would have forgotten to shut her ears.
When the scream suddenly stopped, the rumbling sound of the dirt coming down ceased as well, and Kali slowly came to a halt. "Farrah?" She asked, as she turned around, just as her friend simply dropped down.
Felix was the first to reach her, appearing in a flash and kneeling down. "Still breathing," he called to her and Noah as they came running back their way.
Kali could do nothing more but stare at Farrah for what felt like at least a whole minute. "Fucking shite," she let out in a breath. She could feel her chest tightening a little, when a sudden hand appeared on her shoulder. "Calm down," she heard Noah say, though he sounded a little odd... distant.
Was she hyperventilating?
She certainly felt like she was. Feeling stupidly vulnerable, she shook off Noah's hand with a stern gesture. "Sorry I'm a little stressed out about my friend lying there fucking unconscious," she spit, as if it was all Noah's fault. He rose both his hands, staying frustratingly calm.
"It's okay. She's just used too much of her magic. She'll wake up soon enough," he said, as if Kali was some silly little girl. "I know," she hissed.
"Then calm. down."
Despite wanting to punch Noah in the face, Kali forced herself to clamp down her panick and focus on her breathing. It took her a few moments, but after that she looked back to where the dirt had crashed down on their path. "We need to keep moving," she said, sounding a little unsure. "I think. Yeah, no. Definitely need to keep moving. I'm not sure what caused that avalanche, but it wasn't just nature doing it's thing," she told them, as her eyes shifted back to Farrah. When she made an attempt to kneel down so she could lift her up, Felix stopped her by holding up a hand.
"I'll carry her," he said. "You've got your scythe, and I wouldn't want to ruin Noah's cool-guy-aura. He'd look ridiculous with a taller girl in his arms," he said. "I don't have a co-," "Really?" Kali asked with venom in her voice. "You really think this is a time for fucking jokes about your looks?"
God, she hated these two guys.
Felix' expression suddenly changed to something more serious, throwing her a little off. She hadn't expected him to actually listen to her words. "I'm sorry, you're right," he said, as he easily lifted Farrah from the ground, placing her on his back so he could still watch his feet.
If Kali was a little grateful for the presence of someone strong enough to carry Farrah, she certainly didn't show it. "Fine. Let's just- walk," she muttered, sharply turning around on her heels and starting to walk. After a few seconds, she could hear Noah and Felix following her.
She just hoped Farrah wouldn't be unconscious for too long - she wasn't sure if she could keep her wits if she didn't wake up in the following hour.

Farrah

She didn’t really knew what happened, only that she felt so tired all of a sudden. Farrah knew she had lost her magic power for now, she had drained every last bit of it for the time being, assuring that there were no more stones. Then she fell down and hit the ground, that was all she remembered.

She woke up slowly, feeling the energy returning to her body tiny bit by tiny bit. Her eyelids felt heavy but nevertheless she opened her eyes and somehow she noticed that she was on someone’s back. Immediately she woke up and with the sudden movement she fell back, landing on the ground yet again. “WHAT THE HELL! HOW DID I GET UP THERE?! WHY ARE YOU CARRYING ME! DAMN FELIX YOU GAVE ME A HEARTATTACK!” she shouted, sounding shocked at the very least. She sat straight up again and shook her head. “Sorry for that...” she muttered as she tried to get up again but noticed how dizzy she was. “I suppose we could make a little camp for now and just eat a little.” She said to them, looking up at Felix. Unwillingly she felt her head turning a bit red and she looked away from them. “I think that we’ll be safe if we keep it short enough. And we could all use a break.”

Felix
They had been walking for a while, the avalanche left far behind, and Felix had started wondering if it had been wise to volunteer as the one carrying Farrah after all. Not that she was that heavy, but after the bad night of sleep he had had it was slowly draining his energy. His back didn't seem to happy about it either, and it surprised him he couldn't actually hear the bones cracking.
For once, Noah didn't seem to notice his unease however, and Felix was glad for it. The last thing he needed was someone fussing over him.
Instead, it seemed Noah had managed to ease Kali's nerves. It had taken him awhile; Felix had been witness of a lot of strained conversation and painful silences, but eventually Noah and Kali seemed to have discovered a mutual interest.
Weaponry.
Of course. Felix couldn't even be surprised anymore. It had started off as an appreciative remark about Kali's scythe, followed by proud stories about the weapon, after which Noah had started talking about the sword he always carried with him everywhere he went. Felix had lost it from there, and was now distracting himself from the weight on his back by looking at the scenery around them. After all, someone needed to keep an eye out.
Just as he was about to propose taking a break - if Farrah didn't wake up soon he thought worry was, in fact, in place - when an unforeseen movement caught him by surprise. The relief he felt when he realised Farrah was waking up, was quickly replaced by annoyance and... well... the throbbing ache of his derrière when he lost his balance and fell backwards.
"WHAT THE HELL HOW DID I GET UP THERE?! WHY ARE YOU CARRYING ME! DAMN FELIX YOU GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK!" Farrah shouted. Felix responded with a long stretched grunt as he rubbed the already growing bruise on his butt. "At least now we're sure you're awake," he muttered. Farrah sat up straight at the same time he did, and she shook her head. "Sorry for that," she muttered, and Felix relaxed a little. At least she seemed to realise the ungratefulness of her own words. He watched her trying to get up again, and immediately giving it up. It only took seconds for Kali to appear next to her, pressing a hand down on her shoulder. "You are not walking anywhere until I'm sure as hell you're alright," she said.

Fairy Tail Old_by_lanwu-d38mnhgx
Kali
"I suppose we could make a little camp for now and just eat a little," Farrah said, and Kali relaxed a little. She was glad her friend was back in the land of conscious again, already taking lead. Kali had never been comfortable with telling other people what to do- though she wasn't exactly one for following orders either. Most of the time she preferred walking alone; she only made an exception every now and then for Farrah and two or three other close friends. "I think that we'll be safe if we keep it short enough. And we could all use a break."
When she returned her gaze to Farrah, a sudden flare of anger filled her chest.
"You fucking idiot," she said in a tone that could freeze whole countries. "I get that you were trying to save our asses, but never do that shit again."
Kali couldn't deny that her language got- a bit more creative, so to say, when she was worried.
Felix seemed to ignore Kali's outburst, as he stretched out on the ground with a lazy sounding sigh. "I could really use a massage right now," he said, closing his eyes. "Definitely not," Noah responded, apparently deciding to sit down as well. "The last time I tried to help you out, you only complained I was too rough," he muttered. Kali gave him an odd look, and as a response Noah waved his hands in the air. "Quick hands. Good for loosing up the shoulder muscles." He ignored Felix sarcastic snort. "Someone should search for something quick to eat it. Farrah needs something to strenghten up. Also, I carried her so I get a free pass," he said, for all the world looking as if he could fall asleep right there on the middle of the path if he wanted to. With an annoyed scowl Kali pulled open her bag, fetching out some energy bars. "How fast can you get back to your feet, y'think?" She asked Farrah, trying not to sound too pushy. "I don't think we can stay in one place for too long," she added, explaining. "Firstly, you said we were followed by something through the woods, and that it was still coming after us to the mountains. Secondly, I don't think that avalanche was just coincidence. It hasn't rained here for weeks, there was no reason for the dirt to suddenly start coming down."
As if what or whoever was following them could hear her, she threw a quick look over her shoulder, looking back at the path.

Farrah

Of course Farrah wanted to get going but she couldn’t make her body move. That was why she gave up and wanted to take a rest anyway, not that Kali would let her get up and walk again... not ever of she thought Farrah wasn’t alright. Even when Farrah wanted to get up Kali pushed her down again, seeming a bit angry with her in a way. Of course she couldn’t abject against that, she had done something that hadn’t been very smart in the first place.\
But even though Farrah already knew that it wasn’t that good a move she had made, Kali turned back to her. There was something in the eyes of her friend and the tone of her voice that made Farrah lose her own. "You fucking idiot," she started. "I get that you were trying to save our asses, but never do that shit again."
“Ow I am so sorry madam to make you worry. Next time I’ll just stand by and let us all be crushed to death. A little bit more gratefulness would nice.” Farrah said, muttering a bit. “Just don’t make such a fuss about it, “ she added, “I’ll be fine in just a minute and after something to eat we can go on as planned.”

A minute later Kali had already grabbed some food out of her bag, Farrah out of her own and there would be enough to feed the four of them for at least now. In the mean time the guy were talking about a massage, because obviously Farrah was fat or something, and Kali seemed to be a little annoyed by them.
"How fast can you get back to your feet, y'think?" Kali asked her, trying to be not too pushy but Farrah already knew the reason why her friend asked. “In a few minutes at most. Just let me eat and drink something and then it will be all fine, I promise.” She said.
However Kali already spoke up the same doubts Farrah had about the whole avalanche thing.
“Yes, I know.” Farrah answered, nodding while she took another bite of her energy bar. “That was exactly what I was thinking just before. But because of the sliding and because I couldn’t hold the spell much longer I couldn’t hear anyone move. Also I don’t have a clue about what to go on when it comes to the sounds the wizards make, I have no idea. I have never heard one of them walk themselves... it’s like they know.” she said, staring at the same direction Kali was staring in.
After a while, after she had eaten and had drank a bit of water, Farrah felt a little better and somewhat cautious she rose to stand again. Her head was pounding but that should be one when her magical power would again be restored. “let’s hope nothing happens anymore until we get to the village. I am sure we will have enough trouble on our hands there already and I am not in the mood for killing dark wizards at the moment.”

Again they were walking, in an easy way that would give Farrah the time to recover a little bit more. All the time Farrah tried to push her senses to the max but she couldn’t hear anything. Which could be a good thing but there really wasn’t anything to hear. “Isn’t it a little bit to quiet?” she wondered out loud know, looking tenser now than before. “There should be more noises, but there is truly nothing to hear.” She said, trying to keep her heart from beating so hard that it would bounce out of her own chest.
Then suddenly there was a noise, as if an insect was coming their way.. though the sound grew even harder and harder. “What the hell is that noise?” Farrah asked, stopping her walk so she could turn around again to take a look. There was nothing to see and she stared down the path they had taken. Was this a trick of her mind or was this really something? She wondered. But she turned back and started to walk again, not sure if it was just her own imagination. Out of the blue there was this extremely loud noise that filled her ears, everything was blocked except for that sound. They know of me, Farrah thought immediately but when she wanted to warn the others she could only stand there. She couldn’t move, couldn’t speak, she was simply overwhelmed by the sound. Then she crashed down, all black around her with nothing but that same sound in her head that slowly turned into a voice. Good trick wasn’t it? That job offer. Seems like we’ve finally got you and that friend of yours.

Kali
"Oh, I am so sorry madam to make you worry. Next time I'll just stand by and let us all be crushed to death. A little bit more gratefulness would be nice," Farrah said, and even though she was muttering most of it, Kali bristled at the words. "You shouldn't have done it on your own!" she replied. "Felix can fucking teleport, for god's sake, and I could have helped if you would have decided to share your plan with us," she said, folding her arms.
"Just don't make such a fuss about it," Farrah added to her earlier words. "I'll fuss about it when I want to," Kali muttered.
"I'll be fine in just a minute and after something to eat we can go on as planned."
Kali huffed, taking an angry munch from her protein bar and staring anywhere but at Farrah. Kali wasn't the type to easily let go of her anger, and now it showed.
When she managed to push it down for now and she asked Farrah how long it would take for her to get some energy back, she seemed to do the same and let the argument rest for now.
"In a few minutes at most. Just let me eat and dirnk something and then it will be all fine, I promise," Farrah said.
"Yes, I know," she answered when Kali raised her doubts about the avalanche. "That was exactly what I was thinking just before. But because of the sliding and because I couldn't hold the spell much longer I couldn't hear anyone move. Also I don't have a clue about what to go on when it comes to the sounds the wizards make, I have no idea. I have never heard one of them walk themselves... it's like they know," she said, staring back at the path as well.
Kali let the words roam through her mind for a moment, not saying anything.
She looked up immediately, however, when Felix broke the silence. "I could go take a look," he said slowly. "Go back to where the avalanche happened," he added, explaining. Kali threw him an incredulous glare at the same time Noah straightened up next to Felix.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Kali asked, feeling the barely cooled down anger rise up again. "We don't know anything about what or who might have caused it or is following us. If Farrah expects they might know about her powers, do you really believe they won't see it coming when you visit them? No one is going back there, not when we know practically nothing about our enemy. "I'm agreeing with Kali on this one. You're not going anywhere," Noah added. He and Felix seemed to have some sort of staring contest that lasted about a minute before Felix gave in and looked away. "Fine," he muttered. "I was just offering."

Fairy Tail Top_model_apocalypse_by_naimane-d7wnd8ix
Felix & Noah
It seemed Farrah hadn't lied when she said she would be fine in a few minutes time, because not much later they were back on their feet. Kali and Farrah were walking behind them this time, and the air between him and Felix was filled with thick tension. Noah hadn't liked how Felix had offered to go back out of nowhere, at all. He was still angry with his friend for even mentioning it.
"Isn't it a little bit to quiet?" Farrah wondered out loud. He turned around, watching as Kali gave her an odd look. "There should be more noises, but there is truly nothing to hear," she said. Noah felt a little sorry for her as all three of them gave her a bland look. It must be weird to be the only one hearing everything so clear as Farrah did.
They had still been walking, he and Felix mostly walking backwards as they watched Farrah, but suddenly she stopped walking. "What the hell is that noise?" She asked, turning around to look back. Noah followed her gaze, but he didn't see anything.
"I don't- I can't hear anything," Kali said slowly, throwing Felix and Noah a slightly worried look before she seemed to remember she didn't like them and turned back to Farrah.
When she seemed to decide it was nothing and started walking again, the rest of them did the same, though Noah sometimes threw a look back over his shoulder to check if everything was still alright.
Since Kali knew her a lot better, he watched her from the corner of his eye to find out how often this sort of stuff happened. It seemed it was rather rare, because Kali grew just as tense as her friend, her knuckles turning a ghostly white as she clenched her scythe a little tighter.
Noah turned his face back to the road in front of them, a feeling of unease growing in his chest. Something was definitely wrong, but he had no idea how to fix it.
"Farrah? What's wrong?" At the sound of Kali's high pitched words, he and Felix both turned around, just in time to see Farrah oddly frozen in place, before her eyes rolled back and she fell down on the ground. Kali was immediately right beside her, kneeling down to check her pulse. Noah noticed her scythe lying forgotten on the ground just before he saw a flash of movement in the corner of his eye. The unease in his chest seemed to burst into something bigger, and in a split of a second he connected eyes with Felix. No words were needed to know their roles - they had fought together too long for that. Noah pushed himself forward, sprinting towards the shadow of a man appearing right next to Kali. Felix appeared between them, sheltering the scythe and both girls, right before Noah's fist connected with something solid. A lot of people forgot that High Speed magic didn't just mean he had quick feet: he could use it with any part of his body, making his punches and kicks a lot more stronger than those of a regular person. Now he was closer he recognised the man wasn't actually a shadow. Instead he was covered in a dark cloak, hiding his face in shadows.
He was raining down his punches, too fast for his opponent to block or dodge. Noah didn't allow himself to look around for more men, trusting Felix to keep them away from his fight if they were. The man in front of him was already tiring, and it only took one swift motion with his ankle to pull his legs out from under him. He let himself drop on top of him, efficiently pinning down his arms with his own body. Before he could draw one of his own weapons, the shining blade of Kali's scythe appeared in front of him, pressing into the soft skin of the man's neck.
As he looked up, he saw that his man had, in fact, been the only one. Felix was still kneeling next to Farrah, protecting her if it would be necessary as his eyes were focused on Noah. You okay? Noah gave him a quick nod, showing that he was fine.
"Why did you follow us?"
Kali's voice was cold enough to cause a shiver running down his spine, and as Noah looked up at her face he was glad he had seen her more friendly than that. Otherwise he might have run.
When the man didn't answer immediately, she pressed the blade a little harder, causing a small droplet of blood to form on his skin. His eyes went from Kali to Noah, and the fear that had been there turned into something more foul. He spat at Noah, his eyes growing dark. "Gor ari thachi." The words rang familiar in Noah's ears, and his grip faltered as he choked on his own breath. It seemed to be enough for the man; he slithered free his hand, gripping hold of the scythe and pushing it away from his neck. As soon as the metal left his skin - Kali too surprised to handle quickly enough - the man disappeared in a puff of dark shadows. Noah was suddenly lying down on cold ground, and he sucked in a gulp of fresh air.
"What the hell just happened?" Kali asked, her voice a mix of anger and confusion. "You had him, why did you let go? What did he say?"
Noah pushed himself upright, trying to ignore the shaking of his hands. "I- I'm sorry, I didn't- he surprised me," he stuttered, his eyes still locked onto the place the man had been not more than a few seconds ago. "How?" Felix' voice was strong and sudden, and as Noah looked up he noticed he had stood up and walked towards them, Farrah in his arms. It took Noah a few moments to force the words out of his mouth. He wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't heard it himself. "He spoke Coldician," he said. "He- he spoke in Freyburn's dialect," he added, and Felix froze in his last step. "What?" He asked. "Are you sure? Did you recognise him?" Noah shook his head, burrowing his hands in his hair. "Yes, I'm sure. I didn't- I don't think we knew him, but-,"
He didn't need to finish the sentence, because Felix already thought the same. They hadn't known, hadn't seen everyone. Felix abruptly turned back to Kali. "We need to move. It seems that man had some sort of teleportation magic himself. If he knows this place, he can return any moment. The only chance we have of avoiding him is to keep walking. Besides, we don't know if he's alone or not," he said. Kali nodded slowly, her eyes going back and forth between Noah and Felix. "As soon as we got the chance, you two need to tell us more about Freyburn," she said in a warning tone, her eyes making clear she wouldn't accept no for an answer. "He certainly recognised you, I know that for sure," she added, looking at Noah.

Farrah

Everthing was dark and quiet around her. Farrah was standing in this black place that seemed to reach on forever, like there was no end, eternal darkness. Then there was this sound, coming closer by the second, it made her nervous. She kept a watchful eye on the spot where she thought the sound came from. First is was, even for her, less than a whisper. She couldn’t even understand the words that were said. Then everything got louder and louder until the darkness split up and a void appeared in front of her. A hooded man appeared in front of her. Thought she knew she had never seen him before there was this strange feeling coming up inside of her that she SHOULD know him, but from where and when she had no clue.
The stranger looked at her and Farrah gasped. There was no face, just another blackness but this time as a mask with two holes, where the eyes should have been. “You should know better than to just gape at me like that, girl.” The voice whispered, this time hard enough for her to hear. The sound wasn’t that hard but even though she had her headphone still on she could feel a certain tremble in her ears that she wasn’t quite used to.
“Who are you?” she asked, with a little uncertainty in her voice, though that was far away.
The figure in front of her didn’t answer her question but he simply razed his hand and cast a spell at her. A pain shot through her mind and she dropped down on her knees, grasping her headphone with both her hands as if to form another shield in front of her ears. A chuckle sounded through the tormenting noise and then it stopped.
“you’re even weaker than I thought you were. What would your mother think of this, Farrah?”
She shuddered and looked at the man, there were tears in her eyes now. “You have no right to speak about my mother.” She said hoarsely, trying to stand again, but she failed because of the pressure that kept her on her knees.
“YOU CANNOT TELL ME WHAT I CAN AND CANNOT DO!” the voice thundered.
Everything turned black again and again that laugh followed. “But don’t you worry, little dear. I have something for you. Manage to overthrow this obstacle and I may let you live.” The voice said, with that the floor opened beneath her and she fell down. While she fell she screamed, reaching out to whatever she know she would lose when she was at the bottom of that hole.

All of that happened in her mind. Her body however kept on living. Her heart beated, her longs took in air and when a certain thing happened her muscles tightened or relaxed. However she couldn’t do anything because this battle took place inside her mind. She didn’t even know that Felix was holding her again, carrying her away from the place where her three companions were attacked by another stranger.

Farrah landed in a very green place. The sun was shining low and so she squinted her eyes a bit, shielding them from the rays of sunlight. This place however was no place she had ever seen before. It looked so different to anything she had ever seen, even the sounds here were different. But there was no time for her to spend much time on figuring out where she was held because a man came out of nowhere, again wearing a black cloak.
Without a warning the man started to mumble and that mumble created another hole in the ground. Farrah already looked around her in a bit of panic, she wasn’t planning on falling like that again. However the hole didn’t drag her down but something appeared from it, rising slowly. It was nothing but a form, a shadow. There was no sound of a heartbeat or anything and as the man spoke on her vision grew blurry. What the hell was going on?! She thought, trying the sharpen her vision again. But instead of getting it back to normal she know saw nothing.
“Now it is your turn to prove how great your power are, Farrah. Can you win with only you ability to manipulate and control sounds?” an unknown voice said. But when she wanted to answer Farrah found that she couldn’t speak. A little chuckle sounded from not far away. “Don’t worry. I am sure your death will be quick.” She heard the man say.
Right after that she suddenly felt a sharp sting in her arm but without a voice she couldn’t use her most powerful spell, she had to use something else.
But how in seven hells would she be able to fight something she couldn’t hear or see?

Kali
Because Felix probably knew most about teleportation, and Kali was slowly losing her ability to keep a clear head and didn't know for the world what to do, they kept walking. Without any of them saying it out loud, they had decided Felix would keep carrying Farrah, though it seemed he had decided to hold her in his arms this time. Kali guessed it had something to do with her suddenly falling off his back earlier.
Her fingers kept clenching and unclenching around the wooden scythe as she tried to keep herself from panicking. Last time, at least it had been clear why Farrah had lost consciousness. She wouldn't be the first mage to use up her energy and pass out. This time, though, it was different. She had just- fallen down.
"Her pulse is fast, but steady," Felix said. She almost jumped as his voice suddenly appeared next to her. Had he been walking next to her all this time?
"She'll wake up. Maybe it has something to do with the same wizard that attacked us. She said she heard something right before, after all," he added, not really reacting to Kali's surprised response. After a few beats of silence, she realised he was trying to reassure her. She pursed her lips and turned her head the other way. "I know," she responded coldly. She didn't need someone to reassure her. She just needed Farrah to wake up.
If she hadn't been unconsciousness, she would have been very, very dead by now, Kali thought as an irrational anger bubbled in her stomach.

Felix & Noah
It seemed that, despite the chaos that had happened earlier, the little rest had done him good. Farrah seemed a little less heavy in his arms, and his back felt a little less stiff. Though the latter could mean he was just growing a little numb as well. He had started walking next to Kali a short while ago, hoping that the nearness of Farrah would calm her, but it seemed to do little good. He just hoped she would wake up soon. He wasn't even sure if that was possible - though he wouldn't say that out loud, not while Kali was in earshot. She needed someone who believed it would be allright, and if that meant Felix had to fake it a little than so be it.
Noah was walking behind them, and Felix could hear him turning around now and then, checking if no one was following them. Felix was sure he felt the same; uncomfortably nude. They didn't have any idea whatsoever who followed them, only that the wizard from earlier spoke Freyburn's dialect. Worse than that, Kali said he had recognised Noah.
Felix felt his stomach turn itself into knots whenever he thought about what that could mean. He was just glad Kali hadn't forced an explanation out of them yet. It seemed they all agreed on the fact that they needed to find someplace safe first.
"We need someone to take up Farrah's role. We're too vulnerable as we are now," Noah suddenly said, breaking the silence after what felt like hours. Kali scoffed and threw him a harsh look. "As if I don't know," she said, as if his words had been a personal insult to her. "But what would you have us do? No one can hear things coming like Farrah can, and it's not as if I can use storm magic in a way that's any use to us," she added. Noah rose his hands, giving her a slightly annoyed look, though Felix could see he tried his best to hide it. "Please stop. I get that you're worried," he said, and to Felix surprise Kali's face melted a little. "I can run back and forth, make sure there's no one waiting for us. It's not something I can do forever, but I can keep it up long enough for us to reach some sort of safe haven," he said. Felix pursed his lips, not liking the idea of Noah going out on his own, but he knew there was little else left for them to do. Kali seemed to realise the same, because she gave a reluctant nod. "Okay, yeah. Just- if you see something, come back to us and don't go and try fighting it alone," she said. Noah nodded. "Promise," he said, just before he spurted off, leaving Kali and Felix alone with Farrah's unconscious body.
